Safety in membrane filtration
Design, operation and maintenance.
Design
Safety in engineering brings risk down before a system is built. Human slips cannot be eliminated by training, but better design of equipment and tasks makes them less likely. Safety therefore starts in the design phase.
An audit shows where the design of your system stands.
Operation
NF and RO systems run at high pressure, so how a system is operated is part of its safety. Human failure contributes to almost all accidents, and training based on good procedures is the key to avoiding mistakes.
Operator training can contribute substantially to fewer incidents.
Maintenance
Around 10 to 15% of fatal workplace accidents in Europe are related to maintenance work. Maintenance brings people close to pressure and chemicals, and pressure equipment must not endanger people during installation, use or maintenance.
We can help draw up your maintenance protocol, or carry out the work with APM service on site.
